2-bin System

The 2-bin replenishment process offers users an easy to use solution for the reorder process and provides valuable information to the different users to easily maintain and do effective adjustments in the supply chain.

Features of the 2-bin System

• Concept operates with 2 compartments, one active and one backup both filled with equal quantities of the established par level
• When active compartment becomes empty, stock is then taken from the backup compartment and moved into the active space
• The ID tag from the backup compartment is scanned and placed on the rack signaling a need for replenishment
• The supply department delivers the appropriate stock, replenishes the back up compartment and returns the ID tag to the backup compartment
