Dependable elopement management

The RoamAlert system provides effective elopement management that is easy to implement, and easy for staff to use. And it’s proven itself at thousands of facilities over a period spanning more than 20 years.

Here’s how it works. Every residents requiring protection wears a small RoamAlert bracelet on the wrist or ankle, and every exit point of the department is electronically monitored. When a person wearing a bracelet approaches an open exit, an alarm is generated.

Specialized protection for elevators

For facilities with multiple floors, protecting elevators can be a particular challenge. The RoamAlert system overcomes this problem with its elevator system, which is installed inside the elevator car. An alarm occurs only if the resident actually enters the cab, and won’t affect the operation of the other elevators in the bank.

Securaband™ tag

Every long term care facility has experienced a resident determined to remove a elopement management tag. The Securaband tag and strap provide a reliable and easy solution to this problem. It’s the industry’s toughest resident tag, designed quite simply to stay on. The strap has two metal wires running its full length, with a special clasp to lock the strap in place.
