WALTHAM, Mass., September  30, 2014 — STANLEY Healthcare, a market leading provider of visibility solutions and analytics  for the healthcare industry, today announced that the Arizona-based supply chain team within IASIS Healthcare LLC Systems is reducing supply costs, preventing waste and improving data management with its implementation of STANLEY Healthcare's SpaceTRAX Inventory Management System in its cath labs and IR rooms.



Arizona's Mountain Vista Medical Center and St. Luke's Medical Center—both part of IASIS Healthcare LLC System—have a total of eight (8) cath labs and IR rooms where they perform roughly 7,400 cases each year. These hospitals were facing some of the most common challenges surrounding inventory management.  Supply costs in these areas represent a significant portion of the hospital's operating budget.  With new technologies continually being introduced, these areas of the hospital require not only a large variety of supplies, but also very high-cost items, where physicians and other clinicians handle a wide variety of cases.

This has dramatically improved staff efficiency and procedure/supply patient charge capture while more effectively monitoring and managing supply costs in the cath lab and IR rooms.
