Benchmark Senior Living Selects STANLEY Healthcare's Resident Safety Solution for New Senior Living Community

Integrated solution for emergency call, wander management and access control part of Benchmark's program to invest in technologies that improve the resident experience

WALTHAM, Mass., May 21, 2014 — STANLEY Healthcare, a market leading provider of visibility solutions and analytics to advance the quality of care for the healthcare industry, today announced that it is supplying an integrated solution for resident safety and security to Benchmark Senior Living, at the new Split Rock community opening soon in Shelton, Connecticut.

The solution encompasses several of STANLEY Healthcare's leading solutions for senior living, including Wi-Fi based mobile emergency call and wander management with the AeroScout® RTLS solution, fixed call points for emergency call, and access control from STANLEY Security.

Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock is a state-of-the-art community for seniors offering both assisted living and memory care accommodation. The new solution from STANLEY Healthcare will help increase safety and security for residents, visitors and staff. Assisted living residents will have the ability to call for help from anywhere within the community via portable pendants, while the STANLEY Healthcare wander management solution will reduce the risk of wandering for residents in the memory care neighborhood. In addition, fixed call stations installed throughout the community will enable residents, visitors or staff to call for assistance for themselves or others. Finally, software-driven central security and event management from STANLEY Security will assist Split Rock with managing its access control.

Alerts will be directed to staff via Apple iPod® mobile digital devices and e-mail, enabling prompt response to an alert. In addition, the solution will enable staff to locate residents at any time in an emergency or for other purposes, such as administering medication.
