Clίnica Alemana of Santiago Improves Environmental Monitoring and Asset Management with Innovative Solutions from STANLEY Healthcare

Waltham, MA – July 24, 2013 – STANLEY Healthcarea market leading provider of safety, security and operational efficiency solutions for the healthcare industry, has announced that Clίnica Alemana of Santiago, Chile is using its AeroScout® Environmental Monitoring and Asset Management solutions to automate the facility's temperature monitoring capabilities and provide real-time tracking of critical medical equipment throughout the hospital. For both solutions, Clίnica Alemana is able to leverage its existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, enabling not only a best-in-class solution, but a system with the lowest total cost of ownership.

Clίnica Alemana has deployed STANLEY Healthcare's AeroScout wireless Temperature and Humidity Monitoring solution to automate data collection and ensure fragile medications are refrigerated within the necessary temperature range to prevent spoilage. In the event of an unforeseen refrigeration problem, the solution automatically activates an alert, providing staff with valuable time to take corrective action and ensure medication safety. Because of the success of the initial project, Clίnica Alemana is currently deploying additional STANLEY Healthcare temperature-sensing tags throughout the facility.

Additionally, the hospital is actively using STANLEY Healthcare's AeroScout Asset Tracking and Real-Time Location System (RTLS) to provide visibility into the location, status and condition of critical medical equipment such as infusion pumps. Over the past five years, Clίnica Alemana has deployed more than 1,300 STANLEY Healthcare Wi-Fi asset tracking tags to help its clinical staff more quickly and easily locate the equipment they need to provide high-quality patient care.

“Because of the real-time data we can access though STANLEY Healthcare's AeroScout solutions, our hospital is able to operate more efficiently and our clinicians can spend more quality time with patients,” noted Mathias Anwandter, Manager of the Medical Engineering Department at Clίnica Alemana of Santiago. “We chose to work with STANLEY Healthcare because their solutions are high-quality, the technical support is excellent, and their delivery team helps us meet our deadlines.”

“STANLEY Healthcare is pleased to have built a long-term partnership with Clίnica Alemana in its pursuit of operational excellence, and recognizes the benefits that our customers across Latin America are realizing with our RTLS platform,” said Ricardo C. Berrios, Vice President of Emerging Markets at STANLEY Healthcare. “Clίnica Alemana continues to demonstrate its commitment to leveraging the most advanced technology solutions to improve the quality of care in its world-class medical center in Chile, and we are excited to be able to contribute to this vision.”
