AeroScout T3s Staff Badge
Wi-Fi Badge Enabling Real-Time Staff Visibility
The AeroScout T3s is a Wi-FI Staff Badge for use with the STANLEY Healthcare Patient Flow, Nurse Call Automation, Hand Hygiene Compliance Monitoring and MyCall Staff Protection solutions. These battery-powered badges are worn by hospital staff, enabling them to be accurately located in real-time and in any environment covered by Wi-Fi, from indoor locations such as hospital floors to open outdoor spaces such as parking lots. In addition, the badge can be used for egress point detection, room and bay level location, call-button alerting, motion sensing, hand hygiene compliance monitoring, patient flow and more.
T3s Badges use any standard Wi-Fi network infrastructure, keeping costs low and making deployments simple and fast. The badges can be used to determine the location and status of hospital staff. The badges’ wireless messages are received by Wi-Fi access points and passed to STANLEY Healthcare's MobileView enterprise software.
Long Battery Life
The T3s Badge has a user-replaceable battery which can provide up to 2 years' battery life*. The badge is able to report its battery level which is displayed in MobileView. The T3s Badge also has a motion sensor to conserve battery life when the badge is not in motion.
*Battery life depends on configuration, use case and infrastructure.
Room-Level Separation and Egress Point Detection
The T3s Badge includes an embedded Low-Frequency (LF) receiver and an optional Ultrasound receiver. Ultrasound signals do not go through walls and thus ensure accurate room-level resolution when and where required (e.g. determining if a nurse is attending to a patient in a room). T3s Badges also provide instant notification when a staff member passes through a gate, doorway or other tightly-defined area.
Large, Tactile Call Button (MyCall solution)
For the MyCall Staff Protection solution, the badges includes a call button for staff to call for help for themselves or others. Different button press patterns can be programmed to distinguish between distress alerts and a call for assistance with patient care.
T3s Badges contain on-board motion sensors. The motion sensor can be configured to trigger alerts (e.g. when a staff member is not in motion for a long period of time). It also enables different transmission intervals for badges when they are stationary or in motion, which reduces unnecessary network traffic and conserves battery life.
The T3s Badge enclosure is designed for durability, is water and dust resistant and is able to withstand impacts (IP-65 rated).
T3s Badges are easily configured and activated wirelessly using the Tag Manager application and a Tag Activator device, which are part of the Hardware Manager Kit.
LED and Audio Indications
T3s Badges include a red LED on the front for visual indications, such as message transmission, and a buzzer for an audio indication when the call button is pressed.
