STANLEY HEALTHCARE PICKED TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF DIGITAL HEALTHCARE IN FRANCE

At an award ceremony in Paris on December 7, the AP-PH (Group Public University Hospital Group in Paris) et the CHU Nantes announced a select group of companies chosen to help bring digital innovations and new business partnerships to the French healthcare industry.

The ceremony was the culmination of the amply named competition ‘The Hospital of the Future’, launched by the AP-HP (the Public University Hospital Group Paris) and the University Hospital of Nantes. The aim: To spark the innovations needed for hospitals to successfully operate in times of rapid digital change. Specifically, the initiatives are projected to be integrated into three major hospital projects currently underway in France: the Grand Paris-Nord campus, the new Lariboisière and Île de Nantes.

The Call received an unprecedented 388 proposals from 242 companies, start-ups, research centres and individuals from 10 different countries. Among the proposals, just 15 made the final shortlist including an innovative geolocation project by Stanley Healthcare.

Using the hospital’s existing WI-FI network and small WI-FI tags placed on either equipment, patients or healthcare staff, the technology can be utilised for a multitude of smart purposes including Asset Management, Patient Flow as well as for for Personal Protection of staff members working in high-risk facilities. Stanley Healthcare is the world’s leading provider of location-based solutions installed in more than 17,000 facilities globally.

This is a real recognition of the big French institutions for STANLEY Healthcare.

It allows us to be clearly identified as a vendor for hospitals of the future.
Cédric Sou, Sales Manager North France, STANLEY Healthcare.

Going forward, AP-HP will work directly with Stanley Healthcare and the other shortlisted organisations on pilot projects that will bring the new solutions and products closer to their future users. This open public/private innovation approach is in itself quite unique in the healthcare sector, but according to AP-HP it is all about creating the foundation for partnerships that will drive the digital transformation of the hospitals of tomorrow. While the projects initially will be based around the three upcoming building projects, the larger goal is to create a permanent ecosystem of innovation in E-health with local, national and international dimensions.
